Miguel founded Leave Your Marc Athletics in 2019, right after his last college football season at Willamette University.
Unlocking an athlete’s maximum potential in their abilities and mental tenacity has been Miguel’s expertise since he started his coaching career. Aside from getting certified, Miguel’s greatest development in the athletic training field has come from his own journey in playing football.
When Miguel was 16, he met trainers Steven Whitehead and Jamelle Juneau, two former division 1 football players from McNeese State University. Miguel’s new trainers taught him how to prepare like a champion by enduring navy seal type of training. Aside from the physical results, the mental results changed Miguel’s athletic career and his life.
When Miguel left to junior college, he started training with Brian Dzing, an Olympic sprinter who competed against Usain Bolt. Miguel made massive improvements on his speed and acceleration. Without realizing, Miguel learned incredible fundamentals on speed training he would later use as a coach himself.
Miguel finished up his college football career in Oregon, where he came across a gym called ADAPT Training. This is where Miguel learned a great training philosophy in injury prevention and developing the human body the way nature intended it to be.
Coach Miguel Mendoza has used all of his athletic and fitness experience to bring a full, well rounded training program that can help people of all ages reach their maximum potential, both physically and mentally.
Miguel is a dedicated father to his son Marcus, and gives all praise and glory to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
